Theatre director Sir Richard Eyre supports We Stand With Shaker, and says, of Shaker Aamer’s ongoing imprisonment at Guantánamo, eight years after he was first approved for release, “It’s a terrible indictment of the US and UK governments’ lack of respect for freedom and justice that Shaker is still in prison. I hope he’ll be released soon.”
