Roger Godsiff MP (Labour, Birmingham Hall Green) supports We Stand With Shaker, and says, “Shaker is a UK resident who has never been charged with any wrongdoing, yet he is still being held in the appalling conditions of Guantánamo after nearly 13 years of imprisonment. I support the campaign to free Shaker and allow him to return home to his family, and I will continue to raise his case with the British Government. It is fundamentally wrong and unjust for anyone’s freedom to be taken away without good cause, and makes our society less free rather than safer.”
