A legal action charity, Reprieve was founded by Clive Stafford Smith, who has represented over 300 prisoners facing the death penalty in the southern United States. Since the prison at Guantánamo opened, Clive and Reprieve have represented over 80 of the men and boys held. Reprieve’s lawyers represent 13 men still held, including Shaker Aamer.
